Elaine Brett Rowlands

Plaster Landscape Art

To make her plaster landscape pictures, Elaine Brett Rowlands uses flowers, leaves and seed heads, which are pressed into clay to create beautiful plant pictures. Other marks are made with dried clay, twigs and knives/needles.

The plant impressions are then cast in plaster and moulded in silicone enabling her to reproduce the plant image. Elaine Brett Rowlands makes limited editions of 150 as is often done in printmaking to ensure that the quality of the plant casts are not compromised by the deterioration of the mould.

The plant landscapes are then finished using acrylic paints in tints of grey and blue rolled onto the plaster, thereby ensuring each piece of plant art is unique.

These beautiful, timeless printed plant landscape pictures are perfect pieces of nature in limited edition art for the home. Elaine’s plant pictures are popular and come in different shapes and sizes, framed and unframed ready to hang in the home.
