Becci Hey

Abstract Photographs

Exploring new horizons of abstract impressionism in photography, Becci Hey creates unique images using her camera in the same way a painter uses a brush. Becci Hey’s abstract photographic images show how Devon’s sea and sky change and develop with the weather that Mother Nature delivers.

Becci Hey takes photographs of many scenes along the shores of our South Hams coast in South Devon. Becci Hey’s photographic images are taken using no photographic or photoshop filters, providing captivating colourways, sometimes hinting at a Devon Sunset or Devon Sunrise, providing a momentary, photographic record of a single moment in time, never to be seen again.

All photographs are printed onto aluminium panels and framed ready to hang flat onto screws in the wall, creating beautiful, large feature pictures for embellishing interior walls.
Becci Hey’s smaller, abstract photographic pictures work well as either a grouping or individually on walls or freestanding as abstract art on surfaces.
Each abstract photograph taken by Becci Hey, features many colours, some pastel shades, some more psychedelic tones, some more earthy tones, each photograph is captivating and intrigues our viewers as to how it has been captured by the camera and created without filters.

Becci Hey states:
“Losing my son Josh in 2012 made life very dark for quite some time and in 2016 I realised I needed some colour back into my life. I find so much solace being by the sea in Devon. For as long as I can remember, I have always loved both the beach and the sea. The Devon coast brings me peace and makes me feel safe. It is my reset button and my escape from reality. Everything it gives me including all the beautiful, ever-changing colours is now reflected in my abstract photograph work”.
