Ceramic Art - Shoals of Fish Pictures

Amanda Harvey is a ceramic artist based in South Hams, Devon “With a commitment to sustainable practice, I explore themes and colours inspired by coastal living and my passion for the ocean. I aim to create statement ceramic art pieces which may start conversations around the imperative for action to improve the health of our oceans.”
Amanda Harvey makes shoals of ceramic fish individually by hand using stoneware paperclay. After a preliminary bisc firing in a ceramic kiln, each ceramic fish is decorated with my own signature glazes and oxides before firing again to fix the colours then mounting and framing the ceramic fish in shoals with suitable backgrounds.

People love the impactful nature of the shoals of fish, providing a ceramic picture of a moment in time in the lives of fish. Whether they are swimming home, or leaving for warmer shores, each picture tells its own tale with a suitable title.

Due to the delicate nature of Amanda Harvey’s fish pictures thes can only be collected from the gallery or delivered by our specialist, fully insured art courier.
