Julia Chatting loves to create art out of often overlooked items. “I am inspired by our glorious Devon countryside and as a keen year round wild swimmer I am particularly drawn to water, from the beautiful amber waters of the river Dart to our many perfect beaches. My locally sourced, free range eggshell pictures take many hours to make.”

Each egg shell art picture is carefully trimmed by hand then painted with alcohol inks and acrylics. Many are then finished with gold leaf. Some eggshell pictures contain further embellishments and finer details so do look closer – these will be highlighted in their written descriptions.

Some eggshell art pictures are inspired by our South Devon Coast and others by Dartmoor, hedgerow, sunrises, sunsets and seasonal colour changes. Each piece of eggshell art is unique.
