Henrietta studied fine art printmaking at Glasgow School of Art in the late 1980’s, furthering her education at Plymouth College of Art, with an MA in painting. Henrietta Paine has exhibited nationally, including the RSA, the RWA and shared a fine art interactive artwork at Tate Exchange and Tate Modern.
Henrietta’s paintings focuses on internal and external connection within everyday life, be this in landscape, with others or using still life as a metaphor. Inspired by her home territory of Devon, Henrietta’s landscapes in oil as well as acrylics with ink speak of a nourishing, serene and integral connection with nature.
“Painting quickly, in short bursts, I aim to capture the fluidity of an every changing moment, providing rich metaphors of shapes, movements and interactions.”
