You’ll be provided with a canvas or paper surface, gesso, acrylic paints, inks, brushes, palette knives, adhesives, scissors, old book pages, fabric off-cuts, and basic mark-making tools, but to get the most from the masterclass you’re encouraged to bring 5–10 copies of personal photographs or favourite magazine images, colour swatches, small fabric scraps, optional found papers, and a sketchbook with a pencil, plus an apron since mixed media can get messy. By the end of the day on January 14th, you’ll understand how to combine varied media into cohesive artwork, gain confidence in layering and collage techniques, create an original mixed-media piece using your own materials, and leave with ideas and methods to continue developing your practice.
