Mixed media masterclass (Half Day – Zoom)

This masterclass will be hosted by Pam Neaves, artist and art gallery owner via zoom. These sessions will be held on a Wednesday 11.00am – 13:00

You will need: photographs, magazine pages, colour samples, and small textile scraps (optional).

To get the most out of the day and work with meaningful source materials I suggest you have ready:

Canvas/paper surface, gesso, acrylic paints, inks, brushes, palette knives, adhesives, glue/matte medium, scissors, old book pages, some fabric/textile off-cuts, basic mark-making tools.

Plus any or all of the following optional materials:

  • 5-10 copies of personal photographs (I recommend colour copies from a copy shop) and/or magazine images you love
    * Colour samples or swatches (fabric/textile, paint chips) if you have them
    * Small pieces of textiles or fabric scraps (even from old clothing) you don’t mind cutting/torn/wearing
    * Optional: old book pages, packaging/cardboard, interesting found papers
    * Sketchbook or notebook + pencil for planning
    * Apron or old shirt (mixed media can get messy!

By the end of the masterclass you will:

* Understand how to combine different media (wet/dry, fabric/paper, found materials) into cohesive pieces of art.

* Gain confidence in layering strategies: building up backgrounds, integrating collage elements, adding mark-making.

* Have created your own source materials with new media and ideas to progress it further.

* Be equipped with ideas, techniques and next-step suggestions to continue your creative journey beyond the masterclass.

You will be sent booking confirmation via email soon after completing this order. We will be in touch to confirm which date suits you best.
