You can’t help but be in awe of the intricacy and detail in Richard Shimells’ limited edition, lino cut tree prints. The subtle daylight or twilight ombre, creates a warming glow enhancing the silhouette of the Hawthorn tree, which in Celtic mythology symbolises love and protection. Also known as the fairy tree. The artist states “The moorland of Dartmoor is dotted with hawthorns like this, which have survived the grazing sheep to grow into contorted shapes, battered by the wind and rain. They are magical trees.”

Any item can be purchased on the website and then collected from the gallery in Dartington, Totnes, TQ9 6TQ
Delivery costs
The delivery cost depends on the item itself in terms of size and value.
- P&P – for items up to £20 = £5.95
- Special Delivery – for items up to £195 = £10.95
- Special Delivery Plus – for items up to £750 = £14.95
- For items over £750 – we ask for a deposit of £95 for a specialist Art Courier. Once you placed the order and we have your delivery address, we will get a quote and contact you to confirm if there is any additional shipping costs.
